» Automatic Tighteners
.......................................................................
TYPE -
'TO'
The automatic
tighteners take up the chain slackening and keep the tension constant,
without any operator attending the adjustments. The TO-TA-ET tighteners
are designed to last and are made of top quality materials. The maximum
operating temperature is 65°C (100°C for the ET model only).N.B.:
available on request:
Food version with studs and spring in stainless

TYPE-
'ET'
ET tighteners
are especially suitable for high temperature operations, which would wear
out rubber and plastic materials in a short time.

TYPE 'TC'
The TC/TCP/TCR
series automatic tighteners take up the chain slackening and keep
the tension constant, without the operator making adjustments. They are
especially characterized by the following main features:
- working
tightening angle greater than 45° in both directions of rotation;
- no
synthetic materials employed; therefore they can operate at temperatures
above 100° C (TCP series 65° C max);
- internal
elastic elements made of special steel with extremely high yield point
and prestress, so as to maintain the pressure range as constant as possible;
- easy
assembly: they can be screwed to the machine both from outside and inside.
The quality
of the materials, care taken in their manufacture, easy operation and
low costs make it a profitable, practical and safe product.

TYPE -
'RH'
The RH
series automatic tighteners take up the chain slackening and keep
the tension constant, without any operator making adjustments. They are
especially characterized by the following main features:
working tightening angle greater than 30° in both directions of rotation;
no synthetic materials use: therefore they can operate at temperatures
above 65° C;
internal elastic elements with extremely high yield point and prestress,
so as to maintain the pressure range as constant as possible;
easy assembly: they can be screwed to the machine both from outside and
inside.
The quality of the materials, the care taken in their manufacture, the
easy operation and their low cost make it a profitable, practical and
safe product.
The values quoted are not binding and are subject to change without notice.
Our automatic chain tighteners offer you the following ADVANTAGES:
- 23%
increase in the chain life
- 7%
reduction in vibrations
- 12%
reduction in noise
- a
reduced chain slackening
no need for maintenance.
N.B.: the above values are for Your information only and are not binding,
as they can change according to the type of lubrificant used, the operating
conditions and the state of the machines.

ADJUSTABLE
TIGHTENERS
TYPE 'GA'

Tightening head made of low friction coefficient special wear-proof plastic
(dynamic friction coefficient 0.06 on dry steel)
Diecast alloy base
Max operating temperature: 65° C
.................................................................................................................................................................................................
TYPE 'ORIENT'
The
ORIENT swivelling tightener operates as a fixed device and does not,
therefore, have any helical springs or elastomers inside it, offering
the added advantage of being simple and lightweight. Its distinguishing
feature is that it can be swivelled in any direction, both before and
after assembling, should the belt or chain require its tensioning to be
adjusted as a result of stretching. This has been made possible thanks
to toothing both on the base and on the lever, so that the two parts come
into contact every 15° throughout the entire 360° revolution:
this results in 24 possible positions between base and lever. These two
parts are made of high resistance aluminium alloy. Thanks to the total
absence of synthetic materials, the ORIENT can operate at temperatures
above 100°C. It is an excellent alternative
for those do not require an automatic tightener, but who have, nonetheless,
machine positioning and space-related problems.

Clutch Operated Torque Limiting Devices
The
LIMIT clutch-operated torque limiting device is a reliable, high-quality
safety device.
It is used
to protect the drive from excessive loads which can damage the various
units.
When operating
normally, the LIMIT limiting device transmits the necessary torque and
slides when over loaded.
The torque
is regulated simply by turning the lock-nut.
If the torque exceeds the prescribed limits, the drive automatically disconnects
the driven unit

Operated Torque Limiting Device WITH SLIP SENSOR
1. Moveable Ring
2. Safety Switch
3. Chain Coupling
4. Torque Limiting Device
The SLIP
SENSOR is a device which indicates when the transmission of the torque
exceeds the previously inserted value.
If overloading should occur, the spheres come out of their housing forcing
the ring to move back(1), which, inturn, activates a proximity sensor
(2) or a sefety microswitch. Since the cause of the slip has been eliminated,
it is no longer necessary to take the torque limiting device back to its
original position. The limiting devices can be supplied in LF type (part
4) or else equipped with LFG (parts 4+3) chain cuppling.
N.B. Attention
should be paid to the minimum number of teeth in the crowns for limiting
devices with slip sensor.
